{tooth fairy time}

audrey lost her first tooth yesterday! thank goodness because she has been so keen to loose a tooth forever!

she is always disappointed when another friend in her class looses a tooth because she is sure she will be the last one to loose one and its so unfair! she just wants to be like everyone else… well on friday there was just her and one little friend with a mouthful of teeth, so unless he lost a tooth on friday night… she wasnt the last one to loose a tooth… yay for audrey!

she placed the little tooth in a special little wooden trinket box we bought and i decided $4 would be the perfect amount for a fairy of our time with a little sprinkle of fairy dust! then a moment of panic set in… what if she goes to school to share the news and a friend says they got $10… ill feel like a bad tooth fairy then! i wonder what the tooth fairy pays these days? im pretty sure i got a dollar when i was little but i have no idea what parents do now? any advice for next time???

fat mum slim - Some kids get $20 for their first tooth, some 50c. Some get teeny little letters, some get nothing.

I think $4 is the perfect amount.

I can’t believe she lost her first tooth! How cool is that! Yay Audrey. x

Lucy - Adorable! My eldest daughter Olivia is 6 and still has a full complement of toothypegs. She is DESPARATE for a wobby one!

Lucy - PS When I was a girl losing her teeth in the mid 1970′s the going rate was 5 pence. I was thinking that $4 and fairy dust is about perf….

The tooth fairy gave layla $6 for her first tooth and $4 for the next one…
The tooth fairies prices sure have gone up haven’t they!!!

Buttons by Lou Lou - Gosh, all the things I will need to think of with my boys. Of course the fairy dust will make up for any extra amount that ‘should’ have been there. Gorgeous photos. Love the depth of field in the second shot. Lou.

Margo - Wow how gorgeous she looks! and excited….I think you got,more than $1 Rowe.lol You better make it $6 now that Layla got $6,there will be tears and she will want to know why Laylas tooth was worth more than hers. Maybe the easter bunny could give her the extra $2 and a note saying the tooth fairy asked him to hop on over and drop it off. lol mum xxxx

admin - an update for everyone… audrey was super happy with $4.! she says the tooth fairy must think she is really special cause not everyone gets fairy dust… she checked! {telle} $20 is insane and totally not necessary! {kristen} arent they so funny? i think audrey and ash would be good friends if we lived in the same city! {jodi} thanks so much for stopping by… she is too cute! {lucy} audrey will be 7 in july so tell olivia that once it happens, it happens quick cause audrey has two more wobbly ones now! {bethwyn} it is exciting but scary at the same time how fast they grow up! {bee} how did you get away with dropping the price for the second tooth? i started at $4 knowing i would have to pay more for the bigger teeth… {kaishon} your right… she is a doll – thanks! {lou} thanks for stopping and the photo love! {nanna} you are so so funny! lucky audrey and layla dont live in the same city so they cant compare notes…

Mrs.P - That is so cute! I remember when I lost my first tooth, I was so excited to see that coloured water the next morning!

belinda - It was $6 because it was the first tooth and extra special then each tooth from now on will be $4 no matter what size they are!
Layla was totally fine with the price going down she was just so excited about losing her teeth.

Kelly Durie - I was so glad to be there the morning Audrey lost her first tooth. I remember her saying…’It feels so squishy’. She looked so cute. Rowe..you did so well to capture it on camera with all that was going on, and we had to get out of ‘Timson Towers’ by a certain time too. Well done.xx
