{10 on 10 ~ bali edition ~ december 2013}

i thought this months 10 on 10 seemed like the perfect time to share a few photos from my november photo a day challenge, our world | oceans apart!  i took so many images and had such a hard time choosing just one for each day… these are from a little adventure exploring on cennigan island in nusa lembongan. one of the images was actually inspired by the word ‘explore‘.

i love how quiet it is there with barely a vehicle to be seen… because its so quiet we can all pile on the scooter together which audrey especially LOVES to do! she thinks im so mean because i very rarely allow her to ride on the scooter cause the roads are so busy not too far from where we live. today was different and she was beyond happy!

i must admit, its terribly fun all 3 of us snuggled up on the scooter (read squished!) and there is nothing quite like sunshine on ones skin and the wind in your hair! looking back at the photos it makes me giggle to see audrey left the villa in a tutu and went home in just swimmers! i think it was the perfect bali summers day… how cute is her little bobble head in her helmet too?

im part of a group of amazing photographers who each share a little piece of their day! be sure to check out each and every one of them out… next up is the uber talented and oh so lovely summer murdock!

{our world | day thirty}

two friends. living oceans apart. sharing 30 days of images. inspired by one word.

i thought it would be lovely to finish the month with a little collage of our time exploring the mangroves!

i planned to do a beautiful self portrait of our family at a temple we love in bali but it hasnt happened… im ok with that, besides, i kind of love the hand held selfies too… just real life!

if you want to read more about our project, see this post.

well im kind of sad its the last day of our little project… i have really LOVED doing this with a friend as lovely and inspiring as deb! i feel blessed to have finally met her earlier this year after adoring her work for so long and talking online for the last couple of years trying to plan a little workshop… what an amazing experience the workshop was but more about that another time!

i have loved getting emails, comments here and on facebook from other photographers, friends and clients who have been inspired and want to do their own projects!  we put so much thought in to ‘our world | oceans apart’… what we wanted to do exactly, our words and the logistics of it all… how we would shoot and share the images, so to hear that people have enjoyed it makes me so happy!

if you are thinking about doing something of your own, i honestly cant encourage you enough… besides the photos i shared here, i have a whole month of beautiful images of all the things we do on a daily basis! i have never taken photos everyday before so i know this will make the most wonderful album of our little adventure here in bali which we will look back on in the years to come with so much joy! i just know these images will be treasured forever… thanks deb for asking me to be part of this project with you! you are a wonderful friend and i am feeling so thankful… rowe x
