ive loved sharing a photo a day this month for my ‘our world | oceans apart‘ project with my lovely friend, deb schwedhelm! the hardest part always seems to be choosing which images to share because i have so many favourites and those of you who know me probably know im terribly indecisive… oh yes its true!
i thought it might be nice to share a few images from half an hour in the sunshine at our new local… batu bolong beach in canggu! we take our sweet dog for walks there and we have a few favourite places we love to eat so needless to say, we are there often ~ actually, we had breakfast there at old mans just this morning!
when we first moved to bali i was not too keen on visiting the beaches near us… the ones on the west coast. the sand is black. there is far too much rubbish. if you go on a sunday its insane how many people you share the sand with and the dogs… so many dogs running wild ~ some of them just plain scary! it all just made me miss my favourite beaches at home…
then we got leda (the sweetest golden retriever) and danny takes her walking at a near by beach most days and some days we join them! what i do love about the beaches near us… the beautiful afternoon light that comes with being on the west coast! ive never lived on the west coast before and its oh so pretty! low tide is the best because the waves have moved further out out sea and we can explore the shallow waters and rock pools. even on days that are cloudy like this, there are moments when the light peek through and its lovely and warm on my skin! happy sunday friends xxx
