{best friends forever}

audrey and layla have been friends since they were born.  we no longer live in sydney and they miss each other terribly when they are apart, but when they are together they are the bestest of friends – i know that bestest is not a word but thats what audrey likes to say and i think its super cute!  layla writes her emails and signs off as bff…  so sweet!

this is just a little sneak peek of our day together at the easter show a couple of weeks ago…  the photo is far from perfect but boy i love it.  i can feel the love and the excitement.  i just love their energy!  i have so many more cute photos from our day together that i will share when i get unpacked…  did i mention i hate moving?  im so exhausting and its so consuming and i can think of lots of things id much rather be doing than cleaning and unpacking boxes!

anyway, over at iheartfaces the theme this week is smiles so go over and take a peek and some gorgeous photos!

{bubbles everywhere}

i am always in awe of how the simplest of things can entertain a child…  audrey got new bubbles from her pop and she played with them for the longest time!  she blew them.  caught them.  she used the bottle like a microphone to belt out a tune which im sure our neighbours loved…

she was filled with so much joy and excitement that she didnt even mind me taking her photo!

this week at i heart faces the theme is collage so go and check out some great blogs!

{weekend boredom}

i so wanted to join in the fun over at fatmumslim and do something great for point + shoot but the reality is there was editing and packing and not much time for anything else this weekend!  i didnt take a single photo but some little person in our house did and i love what she captured without anyone even noticing!

audrey had taken my iphone on an adventure around the house snapping away.  this is how she viewed the weekend…  she watched the ocean from a distance and probably dreamt of going but never asked.  she saw the side or the back of my head at the computer.  im pretty sure im still in my pjs in that photo judging by that bedhead but its not unusual, i often edit in my pjs… lol!

a little while ago i downloaded this amazing app from the istore called hipstamatic.  ive seen some photography friends take some pretty cool photos with it and thought i must have it.  i havent worked out how to use it yet…  somehow audrey has mastered it though…  so these are straight out of my iphone taken by the princess – all i did was make the collage in photoshop and credit her!  rowe x

April 20, 2010 - 4:29 am

Deb - I LOVE the hipstamtatic app! it makes me think i am taking arty shots! my mum, god bless her, keeps asking why I am posting these pics on facebook that look “really crappy”

obviously not one who enjoys artistic shots!!!

April 20, 2010 - 4:58 am

Margo - Hello, well tell Audrey from me, that she is doing super duper in the photo department.Nana loves the new app..for iphone I want it too.. xx hugs

{im back}

oh blog…  how ive missed you!  ive missed you all actually but its been a little busy around here.

since i last talked to you all, i shot a wedding on the gold coast and edited more images than i care to remember.  ive been in sydney where i shot a christening, a few portraits and visited as many friends as we could squeeze between all the shooting!

oh and the best bit…  i took audrey to the easter show which is her most favourite thing to do.  especially when her bff {layla} is there by her side…  there was hugging and holding hands and lots of screaming louder than you can imagine on rides that seem too much for girls so tiny and small!  she clearly doesnt get her love for all things scary from her dadda cause he usually holds the bags while i go on almost anything. im guessing that comes from me and im happy about that cause i have someone to ride with – yay!  there was sadness when it was all over with audrey telling me she just never wanted the day to end…  boy did we have fun!

its going to be quite around here for a few more days i suspect cause i have loads of packing to do…  if you know me, you know im not so good at packing or moving for that matter…  but the next few days there will be lots of packing involved, then some moving house…  and then the worst part – unpacking which sucks more than packing and moving put together!

although i wasnt sure i would ever settle anywhere but sydney, now we have to leave, i find myself thinking we only just move in and i feel sad that we have to go…  im pretty sure your all sick of my whinging so ill stop that now!

ill be back here as soon as i can to share some sneak peeks of my recent work and our little families adventures in sydney too!  cant do a post without a photo so here is one of audrey in a park right in the middle of the city in the warmth of the lunch time sun…  we sat with good friends, eating and chatting.  it was lovely!  rowe x

jill Ison - such prettiness. my kids are all chicken so lucky for you to have a thrill seeker!!

April 26, 2010 - 10:24 pm

admin - such harsh light in the middle of the day but i so often shoot in the morning or late afternoon that i kind of liked the contrasty light!
