here are some more photos of alec and his toys from the shoot i posted yesterday. i thought there were just too many for one post and i was kind of keen to be in bed at a decent hour which is a rarity around here…
im pretty sure the scooter was the fastest vehicle because i didnt get many photos of alec on that because he zoomed past faster than i could run! how cool is the little mercedes… rowe x
i was so excited when julie asked me to shoot her boys!
ive photographed julie a few times in the past when she was modeling but i hadnt seen her in the longest time! i had only met her eldest boy, alec once and id never met her new baby boy, addison… so i was really looking forward to seeing them and taking some fun photos.
it was terribly cold and on the verge of rain but it held out and we got some great photos of alec and all his boy toys! he loves to go fast… he rides one toy after another to see which will go the fastest and isnt too keen on stopping for a photo cause that would be super boring so i ran lots… as fast as i could, trying to keep up!
addison slept through most of the shoot and when he woke we bought him outside for a few photos and then thought better of it when his little nose turned bright red… did i mention it was a freezing cold day in sydney? anyway, i snapped a few of him on the rug but my favourites were taken in the high chair at lunch… how sweet is he!

on a recent trip to sydney i met angela and her gorgeous boy at a little park. it was like a secret garden, tucked away from the hustle and the bustle of everything and sure to be missed by most!
it was early on the coldest of cold days but this sweet boy loves to run so i kept warm trying to keep up with him! isnt he just too cute…
the light was so magical… it was reflecting golden yellow off a near by building and a warm orange glow from the pebble path. it made this a perfect location for photos!

i love photos in grassy fields with gorgeous, hazey afternoon light… when i see them in my travels i often wish id taken them and think to myself that i must shoot somewhere like that in the future… but i never shoot in fields because im pretty much a sydney city photographer which means cute houses and small gardens with the occasional park or busy beach here and there!
so you can imagine my excitement when i was asked to photograph the loveliest family who happen to live in sydney but on a large block of land complete with golden light and animals and long grass… i asked tania to send me a few snapshots of the paddocks so i could see if it was how i imagined and it was lovely!
boy did we work hard trying to get sienna to smile… she smiles all the time but just not when she is looking down my lens… tania, steve and jake tried every little trick they know and we were all exhausted from all our silliness… we managed to get a few smiles even though, in the moment, we were pretty sure we didnt! arent they just the sweetest family? thanks guys for a really lovely afternoon! rowe x
meet kosta and sophia! newborn twins, only 12 days old and so so tiny… they were a little unsettled on the day of the shoot which i secretly kind of liked cause i got lots of cuddles with one little princess while mum was busy cuddling the little prince!
i just love how new babies feel so at peace on your chest and that gorgeous sweet baby smell… arent they just lovely? hope you like the photos kerry! rowe x
i know its been awfully quiet around here the last couple of weeks… i went to sydney to shoot a few families and become a godmother to my gorgeous nephew! it was a super fun but extremely busy trip so i came home super sick and spent a week or more in bed with a horrid cough and other ailments far too boring to talk about…
did i mention its school holidays? its pretty hard to get any work done with my little princess around. it seems like she always wants something… to be fed or helped and of course played with! im not complaining… i want to enjoy the needing before she no longer needs me for anything at all… she will be 7 on friday and im wondering where the time has gone!
anyway, just a little sneak peek at these gorgeous newborn twins, kosta and sophia… they are just the sweetest little things so i couldnt help sharing a couple now! a few more to come tomorrow… rowe x
meet alexandra… so sassy and full of spirit… isnt she just gorgeous!
kathryn won my giveaway last month and i was so happy she did cause she went to so much trouble making the session super special… she bought the oobi baby pettiskirt (audrey has the exact same one!) and made alexandra a precious little wand!
we had a tea party at there house and then went to the park to play. we chased and rolled in the grass, played hide and seek (behind the umbrella of course!) and just had a whole heap of fun!

i just couldnt help but share a few more photos of these girls together… they are too sweet! i never like to make my posts too long so im always so torn about which images to include for you all to see… these didnt make the blog edit but i now i kinda think they should have! rowe x
it was great to shoot these sisters… to see them so different in age, but still with such a connection and so much sisterly love was super sweet! how gorgeous are they?
i often get asked when ill have another baby and to be honest, im really not sure? the answer changes from week to week. last week we decided no more babies. one lovely gorgeous girl is enough. i feel like the gap is just too big… we have waited too long and life is so easy now that i cant imagine going back to sleepless nights and a child who needs so much of me.
so last week audrey lu was destined to be an only child… then i shoot two darling girls like this and think a big gap is perfectly ok. maybe a gap like this is just lovely!
danny asked yesterday if he could ebay all the baby stuff im hoarding and to his surprise, i answered ‘not just yet’ with a slight smile! this week, im not so sure im done with babies but im sure i feel differently next time someone asks! rowe x
